Massimo Venegoni is an experienced sustainability, innovation and supply chain senior professional with a global background at AB InBev, where he played a central role in shaping global sustainability programs that brought together R&D, supply chain, procurement, finance and commercial innovation. His work focused on turning complex environmental objectives into practical solutions that could scale across regions and functions, while strengthening value chain collaboration.
As Global Manager for R&D Sustainability, Massimo partnered with engineering, operations, regulatory and market-facing teams to embed life cycle thinking into product development and long-term innovation streams. He also co-developed governance frameworks that aligned technical experts, supply partners and senior leadership around shared sustainability priorities, enabling more coherent decision-making and clearer integration of environmental criteria in early-stage innovation.
He additionally spearheaded AB InBev’s global ecotaxation and regulatory analytics program, creating a structured approach that connected sustainability metrics with financial and policy decision-making. This work strengthened the link between environmental performance and the bottom line, enabling more strategic planning across markets and product categories.
His earlier roles in supply chain, packaging development and consumer-facing innovation provided a full value chain perspective on Scope 3 challenges, from material sourcing to product design and regulatory constraints. Across these experiences he has built a reputation for connecting strategy with operational realities and for fostering the cross-functional collaboration needed to advance decarbonisation in complex global systems.
Massimo holds an Executive MBA and two master’s degrees in economics of innovation and energy. He brings a pragmatic and systems-oriented view of how companies can enhance resilience, competitiveness and credibility through effective Scope 3 transformation.
