Jessie Wasser currently is a Manager of ESG and Sustainability at Tapestry, the parent company of iconic NY-based brands, Coach, kate spade new york and Stuart Weitzman.

At Tapestry, Jessie leads ESG reporting, focused on management of sustainability-related data, alignment with regulations, and development of the company’s annual corporate responsibility report. Jessie also leads the company’s greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, and programming relating to energy, water and waste for the company’s own operations. Jessie also supports the development of the company’s climate-related strategies, such as decarbonization, climate risk assessments, and renewable energy.

In addition to her role at Tapestry, Jessie has been working as Adjunct Professor at Columbia University in the M.S. in Sustainability Management program, teaching a course on ESG-aligned Corporate Governance for the past 3 years. The course focuses on the interchange between the external legal, competitive, societal, environmental, and policy ecosystems that corporations face (which vary around the world) and a company’s internal structure, operations, and pressures.

Previously, Jessie worked at Edelman on the company’s Business + Social Purpose team, working as a consultant for Fortune 500 companies supporting the setting of climate-related strategies and ESG reporting.

Jessie has an M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University and a B.S. in Sustainability and the Built Environment from the University of Florida, with a double minor in Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture.
