Daniel has more than two decades of experience in the renewable energy industry. As COO of BayWa r.e. AG, he is responsible for the company’s global Projects business, including Solar, Wind, and BESS, as well as its Services and IPP businesses. Prior to this role, he successfully established BayWa r.e.’s presence across multiple countries in the APAC region.
Before Daniel joined BayWa r.e., he founded and managed Annex Power. There, he was responsible for all business operations as a turnkey contractor, project developer, and consultant for renewable energy solutions in Southeast Asia. In the years before that, he opened and managed the Conergy Indochina office in Bangkok as the Head of Conergy Indochina. He worked for more than 3 years for Conergy Asia Pacific, and he was involved in the first major Solar PV, Wind, and Bioenergy projects in the Indochina region at that time.
Before Daniel joined Conergy, he co-founded and successfully managed PETRO Umwelt- undTanktechnik GmbH in Germany. During this time, he was able to acquire a lot of practical experience and know-how in environmental, downstream oil, and biogas engineering projects in different European and Asian countries. Daniel studied Business Administration at the University of Bielefeld (Germany), the University of Leicester (England), and KEDGE Business School (France/China). He holds a diploma in Business Administration, an MBA, and a Master of Science degree. Additionally, he holds a Euro-Asia Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) under the joined program of KEDGE, Hong Kong Baptist and Ranepa Universities.
